Overview of Preview Bot screen:

The preview bot allows users to review the mappings before the run and override any mappings between a source and a destination.

Any override that users perform goes to the SmartHub [learning system], and I2A will re-use the metadata and mapping knowledge for future mapping.

Enter the source and destination information in the Create bot screen, and click “Preview Bot” to access the preview bot screen.

Key elements in the preview bot

1. Source Panel

  • All sources added to a bot are listed on the source panel.

  • Click the source name to navigate to different sources.

  • Based on the selected source, the source-to-target mapping will change.

2. Mapping Panel

2.1 Column Mapping - Edit Mode

  • If a bot has been previewed for the first time, the column mapping will be in Edit mode.

  • If the bot is in Edit mode, the mapping header will be listed as "Potential Source Matches". This means that I2A has been run, and the mappings were generated during the preview bot.

  • In this mode, you can override any of the bots' mappings using the drop-down option at the column level. The possible match section under the drop-down will list all possible column matches.

Any override that users perform goes to our learning system, and I2A will re-use the metadata and mapping knowledge for future mapping.

  • Once the override is complete, hit "Save" to save the mappings.

2.2 Column Mapping - Read-only Mode

  • If a bot has already been previewed & saved or executed, the column mapping will be in read-only mode.

  • If the bot is read-only, the mapping header will be listed as "SmartHub Mapping". This means that mappings were already generated and saved during the last execution or the previous preview bot review. Also, the confidence score will be 100% for the columns denoting this has already been reviewed by the users.

  • To edit the mappings again, click the "Edit" button.

2.3 Column Mapping - Color Code

The mapping panel provides a Source for Target mapping, and the color code denotes the confidence of the mapping.
